In the glass, the wine presents a deep, dark ruby color with a dense core and a subtle violet edge. Thick, slow-moving tears indicate concentration and structure.
The nose is rich and expressive, revealing aromas of cooked black cherry and cassis, layered with baking spices and a hint of dark chocolate, adding warmth and complexity.
On the palate, the wine is velvety (“sedoso”) yet powerful, with firm tannins and pronounced acidity providing excellent structure. Flavors of ripe black cherry persist, accompanied by savory, meaty notes reminiscent of cured meats and beef jerky. The texture is drying and structured, leading to a long, persistent finish.
